Cynthia Lynn Gallagher, 49, of Cape Coral passed away Thursday evening, November 15, 2018, ovarian cancer took her but it never defeated her.
She was Cindy to her family and friends and Mom to her miracle child, Darby. Being Mom was the most important title she had in her life. She fought for every extra minute to be with Darby. Her courage to fight through the pain and the disappointments of many failed treatment plans left all in awe. For Cindy, it was worth it, to see Darby smile one more time.
Cindy moved to Cape Coral in 2000 when she transferred to the News-Press as the Cape Coral Advertising Manager. She always worked as hard as she loved, beginning her career delivering newspapers in Michigan until she earned the title of Advertising Director at the Cape Coral Breeze. She was active in the community, serving on the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She was a graduate of all of the Chamber Leadership programs and spearheaded the Junior Leadership program in Cape Coral over 15 years ago. She was a member of Rotary Club of Cape Coral and so much more.
Cindy is survived by her daughter Darby Francis Gallagher-Adams. Three siblings, Michael J. (wife Bronwyn) Gallagher, Elizabeth (husband Mathew) Fuller and Michelle Zirkle, along with many close, dear friends and colleagues.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 30th at 5 pm at Fuller-Metz Funeral Home at 3740 Del Prado Blvd. S., Cape Coral, Fl 33904, followed by an old fashioned, Irish Wake to share our memories of Cindy.
