Frederick Borden lived a long and happy life of 90 years. He passed away peacefully at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida. Fred was a "snowbird" for many years until deciding to live out his later ones in North Fort Myers, Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Jeannie Borden, daughters, Diane McNally, Sally Palmer, Susan Buzzell , Tonia Cullen, son Robin Barbre, Grandchildren, Tracy-Palmer-Joyce, Billy Cullen, Lisa McNally, Laura Buzzell-Baldwin, Tom Buzzell, Sara McNally and Kyle Barbre. Fred is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Besides having a welding business in Berlin, Mass., he was active with the Berlin Police department. Fred enjoyed motorcycle riding, the beach, boating and golfing in his earlier years. His passion was stock car racing. "Freddy" holds the record at Westboro Speedway and was inducted into the New England Association of Racers Hall of Fame.
He will be miss by his family, friends and fans.
