Jan R. Dangora, 76, of Cape Coral, FL (formerly of Abington and Hyde Park, MA) passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29th surrounded by his family.
Jan is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Jane (Kenney) Dangora, and his four children, Jan Michael of Cape Coral, FL, Marc and his wife Katie of Abington, MA, Eric and his girlfriend Jasmine of Danvers, MA, and Robyn of Dorchester, MA. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Ann Dangora of Sunset Beach, NC, brother Richard O’Neill and his wife Patricia of Bellingham, MA, his loyal dog Tobey, and many dear nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his brothers John and Frank Dangora.
Jan was best known for his resilience, generosity, sense of humor, and love of family, especially his children who he cherished. Jan grew up in Mission Hill. He was an avid Boston sports fan and spent much of his childhood at Fenway Park.
Jan worked for the Department of Defense for over three decades. He was a lifetime member of the Randolph Elks, where he was named Elk of the Year in 2004-2005.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 18th from 11:30 am-3:30 pm at the Randolph Elks Lodge, 21 School St. Randolph, MA 02368. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
