John George Ermine was born on June 25, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to his parents John and Veronica Ermine. He passed away on May 4, 2017 in Cape Coral, Florida at the age of 89.
John is survived by his children Ronnie (Rick) Albert, John (Lisa) Ermine, and Vickie (Dennis) Daley; grandchildren Keith and Luke Albert, Jill Dell, Brett, Scott, and James Daley; great-grandchildren Zack, Allie, Clark, Liv, and Lex; and many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. John is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Margaret and his sister Mary.
John worked over 40 years at various positions with the phone company and retired from At&T.
John has been an active member with the Knights of Columbus serving as Grand Knight and District Deputy. He was a pioneer member of Nativity Catholic Church in Hollywood, FL and was dedicated to his Faith. John was the go to guy if anything needed fixed or repaired. He loved to spend time watching his grandkids and great-grandkids playing sports.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at Nativity Catholic Church, 5220 Johnson Street, Hollywood, FL 33021. All are welcome to an open house immediately following the service at 5311 Lincoln Street, Hollywood, FL 33021. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to Hope Hospice in memory of John.
