Leonida “Leonie” Academia nee Dumlao, age 83 passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from complications due to a fall. Beloved wife of Fame Judalena Academia. Devoted mother of Elaine (John) Schaller, Lynnette (David) Herbine, Gail (Dean) Bogarde, James (Lea) Academia. Cherished grandmother of Mark, Jr., Stephen and Kristen Comtois, David II, Derek, Daniele, Dana, and Deven Herbine, Dean II, Scott and Ava Bogarde, Ysabelle and Sophia Academia.
Visitation will be held at Fuller Metz on Friday, November 9th from 2-4 pm and 5-8 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, November 10th at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd. in Cape Coral, Florida. Interment will be at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd.
