Michael Patrick O’Connor, 58, of Cape Coral passed away Wednesday June 21, 2017. Mike was born August 23, 1958 in Flushing, NY to Maurice "Meece" and Barbara O'Connor. Prior to his family moving to Cape Coral, Florida, Mike resided in Hicksville, NY. Mike is a graduate of North Fort Myers High School and Edison Community College. He worked in management for Publix. Mike's love for sports included his passion for the NY Yankees, Florida State and Notre Dame. His most cherished achievement was fatherhood. Mike loved spending time with his family and having fun with his grandchildren. Some of Michaels simple pleasures included glazed doughnuts, black coffee, PTI,ESPN and The Godfather.

Left behind to cherish Michael's memory are his children, Jennifer O'Connor Reese (Jeremy), Kelley O'Connor, Kathleen O'Connor (Vernon Brown), his grandchildren Kamren, Bailey and Vernon, his siblings Bob O'Connor (Tara), Noreen McDermott, Joe O'Connor (Sheila) along with 16 nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 PM Monday June 26, 2017 at St. Andrew Catholic Church. The family will receive friends for viewing Sunday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Fuller Metz Funeral Home in Cape Coral.
