William Roman

William S. Roman, 85, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away on Tuesday the 12th of February, 2019, in Fort Myers, surrounded by family.

Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris (née Dutkus) Roman. Beloved father of Diane (Philip) Morrissey of Valencia CA, Ruth (William) Pizzi of West Chicago IL, Elizabeth (Sean) Sullivan of Elk Grove Village IL, and Mark. Beloved grandfather of eight, Nicole, William (Jen), Audj (Bruce), James (Jenny), Cheryl, Kelly, Laura, and Daniel; and great-grandfather of three , Jocelyn, Amelia, and Zoleigh.
Dear brother of James (Patricia), Donald (the late Angela), and the late Retta (the late James) Glod.

Born the 6th of February, 1934, to the late Bernard and Loretta (née Krause) Roman, and raised in Chicago, IL, in St. Boniface Parish; Bill and Doris raised their family in Norridge, Illinois, in St. Eugene Parish; then moved to Cape Coral, Florida, in 1997, where they enjoyed retirement in the tropical climate. Retired from R. R. Donnelley, the Lakeside Press in Chicago, where Bill operated a drum scanner. Over the years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, pool, and bocce ball.

A visitation will be held on April 6, 2019, at 9:30am and a Mass at 10:30am at St. Peter Church in Geneva, Illinois. Private interment at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles, IL.
