Anne E. Snyder

Anne E. Snyder, 92, of Ft. Myers, Florida passed away peacefully September 18, 2020. 

          Anne was born in Gaflenz, Austria to parents Hans Steiner and Emilie Steiner (Kronlachner) in 1928. 

          While in college in Austria, Anne met the love of her life, James L. Snyder who was serving in the United States Army during WWII. They remained lovingly married for 70 years until his passing in 2018. 

          Anne was a Special Education Teacher at Laurel Valley Middle and High School in New Florence, PA for many years and Secretary for the Snyder Construction Company.  Anne and James moved to Avon Park,  Florida in 1994 and became very actively involved with their Church family and Anne became the founder and administrator of the “In Touch Ministry” which was a very successful Ministry that helped many church members and those in need.

          She also enjoyed mountain climbing, skiing, bowling, boating, and spending time at their summer home on the Yough Dam in Pennsylvania with her beloved family. 

          Anne left behind to cherish her memory her son Christopher (Stacy), her daughter Stephanie (Snyder) Iannotti (Jon) and her grandchildren Noah and Adam, and her beloved dog Schatzi.  Anne was preceded in death by brothers Bruno and Hansel Steiner of Linz, Austria.
