Beatrice E. Bates, 86 of Cape Coral, Florida passed away surrounded by family on July 21, 2017. Beatrice was born in Platsburg, NY on February 12, 1931. Beatrice moved to Lee county in 1971 with her now deceased husband, James M. Bates Sr. after his retirement from the United States Air Force. She enjoyed fishing and loved playing bingo. Beatrice was also a member of Waters Edge Church in Cape Coral, Florida.

Left behind to cherish Beatrices memory are her sons, Curtis Provost (Patty), Keith Provost, James Bates, Jr. (Dolly), her daughters Cheryl Waldee, Barbara Alternative (Luke), Beverly Smalley (James) along with 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
