Bernard A. Daria

We are saddened to announce that Bernard A. Daria of Cape Coral, Florida passed away on September 14, 2023 at the age of 92.  Bernie was born on June 20, 1931 to Henry Daria and Nancy Tronolone in Brooklyn, NY, and he was one of ten children. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan Daria, who was the love of his life. He is survived by his two daughters Laura Warren (Patrick) and Aileen Joseph (Colin), and his six grandchildren: Hunter, Owen, Brooks, Nate, Cassy, and Teddy, who will all miss their Pop-Pop very much. Bernie is also survived by three of his siblings: Geraldine Daria, Peter Daria (Susan), Paul Daria (Enza), and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by six of his siblings: Francis, Virginia, Raymond, Anthony, and Sal.  A kind, generous, and selfless man, Bernie freely gave of himself without ever asking or wanting anything in return. He was a parishioner and an involved member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Andrew Council, as well as a founding member of the devoted “Cape Coral coffee club”.  Bernie spent his life doing good for others, was a friend to all he met, and he will be greatly missed.  

His viewing will take place at Fuller Metz funeral home in Cape Coral from 9:00am-11:00am Saturday, September 23rd. A funeral mass will follow at 11:30am at St Andrew Catholic Church, Cape Coral. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Hope Hospice in Cape Coral.
