Betty Jean Long, 79, of Cape Coral died in an automobile accident Monday May 29, 2017. She was born in Hanceville, Al in 1938 to Horace and Dramar Knighten. She married Thomas Ray Long in 1957 and lived in Alabama for many years. Betty moved to Cape Coral in 2002 from TN.
Survivors include her three children Thomas R. (Sherri) Long of Santa Rosa Beach, Fl, Benjamin (Cecilia) Long of Cape Coral, and Lucretia Meeks of Kingsport, TN, two granddaughters Summer Meeks and Sarah Long, and one great grandson Gabriel and brother Tommy Cole. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, her parents, several siblings, and one grandson.
