Miss Betty, you were in my life a very short time (3 years) but you quickly became an amazing friend, confidant, and important member of our family. You knew Ray for 12 years, and when I met him, I knew I was "in" after passing the "Betty Test!" He introduced us and told me right away, "if Betty approves," then that's all I need. You opened your arms and your heart to me, and immediatrly, we were connected. Your Southern Belle hospitality and your "larger-than-life" heart, made everyone you meet, fall head over heels for the tall, statuesque blonde, who in her earlier days, especially, resembled the beautiful actress Dianne Cannon. But more than any outward appearances, we were drawn to that warm smile, big hug, sense of humor, and the way you made every single person around you feel. I miss all those things about you and I will miss them every single day. As a couple, Ray and I looked to you for guidance and insight. Ray knew the love you and "your Ray" had, and he often compares our relationship. Sigh... I only hope we can live up to half of what you two had! Remembering you and our talks and get-togethers is easy ... We think of you every single day. But missing you is a heartache that lingers. Those memories are priceless ... they are treasures. You are a treasure and I wouldn't trade one single minute with you. I love this quote by Leo Christopher because it fits this situation so well. "Sometimes we aren't meant to get over someone. We just go on living a little bit emptier." If love alone could have kept you here, you would have lived forever. Rest In Peace, beautiful friend. We love you to the infinite beach and back.

We are still in shock and will be for quite sometime. You and T R were the best neighbors we ever had. WE might not have socialized very much but always looked foward to seeing you every day. God Bless RIP.
