Bruce Alan Andersen, age 70, from Cape Coral, Florida, departed this life on August 10, 2017 at home, surrounded by his family, after a courageous 20-month battle with cancer.
Born September 30, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY to Karl and Muriel Andersen (predeceased).
Survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Erica, and son Matthew (and Jihyun). He was a superhero and Bestefar to Bryson, Riesling, Hayden, Porter, and Kai. He will be missed by his brothers Brian (and Judy) and Barry (and Linda), and his sister Betsy (and Rich). He loved his aunt, his 16 brother- and sister-in-laws, 30 nieces and nephews, his 7 great- nieces and -nephews, and his 3 cousins.
Bruce was a mechanical engineer in his early career and later became a multimillion dollar producer at Century 21 Sunbelt for 21 years, known for his hard work ethic, honesty, and devotion to his clients. He was a proud and active member of the United States Power Squadron, the Sons of Norway, and the Norway Ski Club in NY. An avid boater and skier, he also enjoyed watching movies and playing the guitar and bongos.
Visitation to be held Sunday, August 13, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Fuller-Metz Funeral Home at 3740 Del Prado Blvd. South, Cape Coral. A service will be held at 6pm.
