Carol Levenhagen Jones

Carol Levenhagen Jones, 78, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully at home with her family on April 23, 2022.  She is survived by her granddaughters Jalissa “J” Ramirez, Jasmine “Jaz” Chapman, and Julie “Ju Ju” Jones, son-in-law Bone Ramirez, great grandchildren Esperanza, Bone Jr., Ariana, Alessandra and Will, daughter Cathy Levenhagen, niece Vonnie, nephews Chip, Donald, John, and Adam.  A memorial service will be held Monday, May 2, 2022 at 12:00 pm (noon) at Iglesia Camino A La Gloria in Clewiston, Florida 33440.  Lunch will be provided at the church following the service.

Carol was born August 5, 1943 in Youngstown, Ohio.  She loved spending time with her granddaughters, great grandchildren, and family.  She had a love for children and enjoyed putting together puzzles, doing arts and crafts, shopping at the baby store, or just sitting back and watching the kids play.  Carol worked for John Hancock Insurance for many years and then ran her own adult day care, “Home Away from Home,” located in San Carlos Park, Florida.  She then went on to serve as the Activities Director at Arden Courts Memory Care Community before eventually retiring.

Throughout her life, Carol enjoyed drinking coffee all day long, listening to Christian music, reading mystery novels, and loved anything purple.  Carol had an amazingly positive attitude and outlook on life, even in the toughest of times.  Her smile and contagious laugh could light up a room.  She has left the world a better place and through her selfless caregiving provided an enduring legacy for her family.  Carol had a strong Christian faith and knew she was headed to heaven.  Even when her health was failing, she lovingly ministered to others and somehow provided comfort to those around her.  She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
