Carol May Westgate

In loving memory of Carol May Westgate who passed the morning of Saturday, July 30 after spending the night before with loved ones by her side. Her memory is survived by 2 loving sons Benjamin and Mark Westgate, their spouses Barbara and Sara, and her 4 granddaughters Emma, Lucia, Juliet, and Olivia. Born May 8, 1944, to Louis and Helene Boysen along with 2 sisters Helen, Lois, and her fraternal twin and best friend Carl. She grew up in Philadelphia, PA, and enjoyed cooking with her mother and helping take care of her extended family members, being the youngest of the family. Her love stayed in Philly as she met, married, and raised kids with the love of her life Benjamin Westgate. Later in life, she moved to Cape Coral Florida to be closer to her boys and her grandbabies who were soon to come. She worked for Publix for 17 years becoming the local “Publix Lady” who the community loved and her coworkers loved more. She is a survivor of Lung Cancer and a lover of animals caring for many throughout her life. She will be remembered as someone who was not only the sharpest around but also the most loving and caring by everyone she met. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 13 at 11 am at First United Methodist Church
