Charles Carroll

On November 16, 2019, Chuck “Sonic” Carroll, a premier advocate for the Southwest Florida darting community, passed away. Chuck left behind a loving wife, Rocio, and two children, Ty and Stephanie. He is also dearly missed by his mother, Lee, along with siblings, Sherri and Shawn, nephew, Luke, nieces, Olivia, Kendall, and Raegan, and many beloved friends in the dart and BMX communities. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill. Charles was an active member of the National Dart Association and the Cape Coral BMX Association.

Chuck had diabetes, which ultimately led to heart issues. For the past three years he’d been living with a defibrillator. On Friday, November 15th, doing what he loved most, Chuck suffered a massive heart attack and went into cardiac arrest while competing at the Florida State Dart Tournament in Orlando.

Those who knew Chuck can attest he dedicated years of his life to darts, Cape Coral BMX and selling Girl Scout cookies. He was relentless about everyone needing cookies, and most people quickly obliged whether they wanted them or not.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11:00AM at the Vineyards Church on 47th Terrace in Cape Coral.
