Shirley Ann 'Eck' Fendler went home to be with the Lord on Monday April 25, 2022, she was 85. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland and was the daughter of John C. Kopp and Marie Frances Kopp. She is survived by four siblings, Louise Miller of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Wilma Peak of Gambrills, Maryland, Kathy Tuminello of Tampa, Florida and Stephen Kopp of Fort Myers, Florida. She is predeceased by her brother, Anthony Kopp of Baltimore. She was the wife of the late Vernon J. Eck for 28 years and later in life married to the late Bob Fendler.

Surviving are three children, Ron Eck of Cape Coral, Florida, Kevin Eck and his wife Vicki of Cape Coral and Kimberly Beddow and husband Ted of Mt. Airy, Maryland. Blessed with six grandchildren, Christopher and Jeremy Eck, Megan Eck Malsom and Zachary, Taylor and Jessica Beddow. Nana has three great grandchildren, Kylee, Gavin and Charlotte (Charlie) Eck.

In 1961 the family moved to Eldersburg, Maryland where they raised their children and owned and operated Liberty Discount Appliance for many years. In 1980 the family moved to Cape Coral, Florida.

All of Shirley’s grandkids, great grandkids and many friends know her as Nan or Nana. She was a beautiful lady in so many ways. She loved her family and was happiest when family was together. She was caring, generous, funny and always available for a friend. Oh, and let's not forget, she was an incredible cook, and made the best corn fritters on planet earth!

Her most important decision in life was accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and we look forward to an AMAZING REUNION with Mom/Nana!

A family and friends celebration of Nan's life will be held on a future date in Cape Coral, Florida and another in Mount Airy, Maryland at one of Nan's very favorite places to relax and enjoy family.

Until we meet again Mom, we love and miss you so very, very much!

Hope Hospice Home Care was amazing to our Nan and the family, our sincere gratitude!
