Constance "Connie" Eaton Riggins

Constance (Connie) Eaton Riggins, 93, of Cape Coral passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at Cape Coral Hospital.

She was born in East Orange, NJ in 1926 and graduated from Morristown High School in NJ. She married Edward (Ed) Riggins in November 1947 in Morristown NJ.  He preceded her in death in 2014.

Connie moved to Millington NJ in 1960. She raised three children and later returned to work in the banking industry. In 1992, after retirement, she and Ed moved to Cape Coral FL.

Connie has been an active member of the choir at the First Congregational Church in Cape Coral for over 25 years.
In New Jersey, Connie spent 30+ years volunteering for the American Legion New Jersey Boys State program, and sang with the Chatham chapter of Sweet Adelines.

Connie was an avid quilt maker who belonged to the Cape Coral Quilting Guild for many years. She also was an active member of the Rotino Center Nimble Thimbles crafting group. She also loved to socialize, swim, and play cards.

Survivors include three children: Bruce Riggins (Linda Morrison) and Suzy Riggins (Tom Acken) all of Cape Coral, and Jody (Bob) Senna of Middlesex, NJ. Four grandchildren: Emily Schwalm and Ian Riggins of PA, Jesse Riggins of NY and Dana Senna of VA, and four great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, January 18 at the First Congregational Church of Cape Coral, 312 Santa Barbara Blvd, Cape Coral, FL 33991. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church in Connie’s memory.
