David Russell "Dave" Hansen entered into eternal rest on August 5, 2017 in Cape Coral, Florida. He was born on August 27, 1946 in Louisville, KY to the late Warren and Daveda Hansen. Dave grew up in Radcliff, KY along with 5 brothers. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force in the Vietnam War. Dave retired from the Air force as a Master Sargent, having earned the Air Force Commendation Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster; the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with Four Oak Leaf Clusters; the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with One Bronze Star, the Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon; the Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with Four Oak Leaf Clusters; the NCO Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon with One Oak Leaf Cluster; the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon; the Vietnam Air Service Medal; the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Device; the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal,; and the Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon.
Dave will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Cami Hansen; children, Patrick David Hansen, Nicholas Kulwicki (Christi), Alexander Kulwicki (Danielle), and Jessica Knox (Boogie Mayes); as well as grandchildren, Richard Knox, Rylee Knox, Skylar Kulwicki, Julian Kulwicki, Avery Kulwicki, Malachi Kulwicki, Kaylynn Kulwicki, and Jada Mayes.
Services are private. Interment will take place at Sarasota National Cemetery.
