Diane Elizabeth Connell

      Diane Elizabeth Connell of Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018.  She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on August 8, 1963.  She graduated from Indiana University, received an MBA from Northwestern University, and had just earned elementary teaching credentials from FGCU.  Diane spent her professional career in the field of non-profits, most recently with United Way of Lee County.
     Diane loved and treasured her many special friends from high school and college, those of the Ft. Myers Metro McGregor Kiwanis,  along with her United Way family and AA fellowship.
     Survivors include her beloved children, Corey and Kelly Connell, both of Gainesville, her parents, Bob and Peg Kleckner, sisters Kathy (Steve) Babcock of Ft. Myers, and Kim Kleckner (Mel), Dover NH,  much loved nieces and nephews, former husband Jim Connell and his daughter, Olivia.
     An informal reception and celebration of Diane's life will be held at United Way on Saturday, December 15th,  12-2p.m., with shared sentiments at 1 o’clock.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Diane’s name to United Way of Lee County, 7273 Concourse Dr. Ft. Myers, FL 33908.
