Donovan Otto Irvin, Sr. passed away on May 25, 2019 at his home in North Fort Myers, Florida under the care of his son, Don Jr. and daughter in law, Tammy. Don was originally born and raised in Anaheim, California and had lived in Texas and Oklahoma before moving to southwest Florida over 20 years ago. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served from 1959 to 1964. After his military service, Don spent many years in the long haul trucking industry until retirement. When he wasn't driving his truck, he loved to ride his motorcycle until trading it in for a Honda - after which time he became lovingly known as "Honda Don". Don was also enjoyed the simple things in life, like fishing and especially ice cream. He was a member of the AmVets Post 50 in North Fort Myers, Florida.
Don, also known as "Papa" by his close family and friends, will be dearly missed by his wife, Margaret Irvin, children; Rusty, Donovan Jr., Chrissy, Becky, and step children; Tanya and Cheryl Ann, as well as 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
