Tribute

Doris “Dodi” Faye (Fewell) Haas

October 18, 1921 - November 3, 2021

was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She passed away quietly after a very brief illness having celebrated her 100-year birthday just 2 weeks prior - surrounded by all her beloved family and best of friends at Sanibel Island.

Born in Canton, Ohio and graduated from McKinley High School in 1939.  Doris married the true love of her life, Donald Haas, and built a life and family in Canton.  Together they had five children. Dodi was a member of First United Church of Christ, the Eastern Star, the Canton Garden Club, and a Volunteer at Aultman Hospital.

After retirement, Doris and Don moved to Bradenton and then Cape Coral, Florida where they continued to enjoy the sunshine and shelling on the beach. Doris was a very active member of Faith Presbyterian Church of Cape Coral and volunteered two days a week at Cape Coral Hospital until well into her 90’s.

Dodi surrounded herself with love from her family and friends. She was the life of any party, and always enjoyed a game of cards and a tasty martini.  Dodi was an avid reader and loved to travel. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories and a legacy of wisdom and love.
