Edith (Edie) Cavicchio (nee Angeline), 95, of Cape Coral, FL formerly of Woodbury, NJ, wife of the late John P. Cavicchio, Sr., was called home on January 10, 2021. Edith, the daughter of the late Nazzareno and Rosina Angeline, was born on May 2, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA.
Edith was a graduate of West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia. She was a woman of Catholic faith.
Edith was a woman who deeply loved her family and friends. She loved to cook and share her recipes with her family- especially her daughter, Betty, her granddaughter, Kim, and great- granddaughters Kyra, Iyanna, Kameryn, and Juli. In her younger years, casino trips, vacationing, and wearing her evening gowns were her favorites. Dancing, laughing, and being the life of the party all the way up to 95 years old is how her family and friends will warmly remember her.
She was predeceased by siblings: Elizabeth Covici, Mary Falconi, Louise Vagnoni, Anna Ziccardi, Frank Angeline, Anthony Angeline, Georgie Angeline, and grandson John Cavicchio III.
Edith is survived by her children John Cavicchio (Judy) of Freehold, NJ, Betty Oden (Russell Sr.) of Cape Coral, FL.; Her grandchildren, Russell Oden, Jr., Ryan Cavicchio (Marka), Kimberly Fare (James, Jr.), Gary Cavicchio (Maya), Steven Cavicchio, and Brandon Cavicchio; and her great-grandchildren Kyra, Kameryn, Iyanna, Rory, Dominick, Juliana, and Nicholas. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Vagnoni. She leaves behind many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.
Celebration of Life and Burial will be private. Donations in Edith’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
