Francis Joseph McDonald

Francis Joseph McDonald, 91 of Cape Coral , FL passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on April 22, 2018. Francis grew up in the Kensington Section of Philadelphia, PA. He was a proud veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He married the love of his life, Ruth Readnack McDonald in 1954. They moved to Levittown, PA and raised 5 children. They retired in Lehigh Acres, FL and spent many happy years enjoying the beach, the warm weather and good friends.
Francis was the consummate story teller. He had a keen sense of humor and loved to dance, cook and golf.
Francis was pre-deceased by his wife Ruth, his son Edward, his son in law Fred and his grandson Bryan. He is survived by his children: Ruthann, Brian, Patrick (Ro), and Mary Ellen (Joe); his grandchildren: Tara, Michael, Lauren, Sean, Shannon, Joseph and Matthew; and his great grandchildren Gabriel, Oliver, Sierra, Isabella, and Nicholas.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday May 11, 2018 at 6:30 PM at Fuller Metz Funeral Home, 3740 Del Prado Blvd South, Cape Coral, FL
