Franklin E Justice

Frank “Jake” Justice passed away peacefully on January 24, 2023 in Cape Coral, FL while surrounded by loved ones. He was born in South Sioux City, Nebraska on November 3, 1934 to William “Bill” and Harriet Justice, and was the youngest of four. 

He graduated from South Sioux City High School, where he met his high school sweetheart and lifelong partner, Maxine Kingston. Together, the two built a wonderful life & beautiful family, and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year. 

Over the years, Frank earned a reputation for working hard and supporting those he cared about. He owned a successful window & door manufacturing company until retiring to Southwest Florida, where he spent the rest of his life spending time and traveling with friends and family.


Out of all his accomplishments, Frank was most proud of being a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. From teaching his grandkids how to drive to serving as the family handyman, he was always there to help and tease us along the way. 

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Justice; brother, Douglas Justice; sister, Mary Catherine McElhaney; son, Mike Justice and wife, Carroll King; daughters, Jean Brethauer and Jill Pulley; grandchildren; David Brethauer and wife Michelle, Matthew Brethauer and wife Britney, Shelby Pulley and partner, Greg Levine; great grandchildren, Brantley, Hayden, and Ziggy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Lavonne Barret.
