February 21, 1970 ~ February 29, 2020 (age 50) 50 Years Old

Tribute

It is with great sadness that the family of Jim LoCascio Jr announce his passing on February 29, 2020 in Clearwater, FL preparing for a swim meet, one of his lifetime passions.  Jim was born in New Haven, Connecticut on February 21, 1970.  He grew up in West Haven, CT and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT.  He attended Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT working toward a Master’s in Education.  He taught middle school English for a short while before moving to Florida with his wife Lisa in 1998.

Another of Jim’s passions was raising his two wonderful children, Ally and Nick.  In addition to being a full-time At-Home Dad, Jim volunteered in the community at their schools, coaching Little League and took on leadership roles in Cape Elementary PTO, CCN Little League and Mariner Triton Athletic Booster Club.  With both children off to college, he and Lisa were planning their new chapter and Jim was in the process of starting up his own business, South Cape Charcuterie, to share his wonderful cooking skills with more than just family and friends.  Jim also loved to fish, create D&D adventures, play piano, watch baseball and play with pets Perry, Mia and Lucy.

We are all going to miss his caring nature, humor, generosity, friendship, passion for life and most of all his amazing smile!

Jim is survived by his wife and children, his parents Karen and James Sr, his brother Michael and his wife Ronda, his aunt Elaine Rusczyk and many cousins.
