James W. Scarborough

James W. Scarborough, 85, of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on January 14, 2020. James was born in Bainbridge, Georgia to James Henry and Trudy Mae Scarborough in 1934. He has joined the love of his life, Phyllis Jean who passed away in 1999. James was a retiree of The United States Army where he served his country proudly as a Helicopter Pilot and also was a Bronze Star recipient. He loved fishing, flying airplanes and spending time with his beloved family.
James is survived by his children Vicky (William), Dennis and Janet; his sister Geraldine Chance; his brother in law Horace Baker; grandchildren Stephanie, Erick, and Chris and family friend Rosita and Rusty. He is pre-deceased by his loving wife Phyllis Jean, his brothers Ernie and Glenn and his sister Ruth. He is also survived by his loyal companions Bitsy and Oscar, his Dachshunds.
The family is planning a private ceremony amongst themselves. No public services planned at this time.
