Jeffrey Darin Wilson, known to friends and family as Jeff, died unexpectedly on October 19, 2019 at the age of 54. Jeff was a resident of Cape Coral, FL.
Jeff is survived by the love of his life and best friend, wife Jenny Wilson, sons Jacob Wilson and Keith (Tiffani) Finnell; daughter Stacy (James) Duquette; Grandchildren Nikolai, Charlie, Cherish, Evelyn, Patrick, and Norah; mother Sharyn (Bruce) Baker of Long Beach, CA and father James (Suzan) Wilson of Downey, CA; brothers Gregory (Sunmi) Wilson, Todd (Elisa) Wilson, Scott (Susan) Baker; sister Danielle Baker; mother-in-law Norma Colley; siblings-in-law Chuck (Jan) Colley, Susan (Robert) Russmann, Gary (Karin) Colley, Lisa (Kenny) Bise, Todd (Michele) Colley.
Jeff is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Jim and Faye Wilson; maternal grandmother Marion Madden; father-in-law C. Allen Colley; and his grandmother-in-law Evelyn Foltz to whom he was close.
Jeff is also survived by a large extended family of in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins and dear friends.
Jeff was born on February 20, 1965 in Lynwood, CA to James and Sharyn. He was the oldest of three sons. He graduated from Wilson High School, Long Beach CA in 1983. He also attended Long Beach City College. He met Jenny in 1993, and they married in 1999. Together they moved to Cape Coral, FL in 1996. His children remember him as a kind and supportive father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. His grandchildren will remember him as their fun and loving Pa.
Jeff was a skilled tradesman who excelled at working with his hands. Jeff worked at BBL Florida from 1998 to 2010. He started his own business, Jeff Wilson Custom Painting, in 2010. He had many wonderful employees and customers over the years, of which he thought of as friends. Jeff loved spending time with his family and friends as well as spending time outdoors. He loved fishing and camping. Mammoth Pools in California and Pride Valley Campgrounds in Malvern Ohio held a special place in his heart. He also enjoyed music, he loved to sing, attending concerts, and playing poker. He was FUNNY! What a sense of humor! Giant heart of gold!!
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday October 25, 2019 at 4pm at The Westin Cape Coral Resort, 5951 Silver King Blvd, Cape Coral, FL 33914, with a reception to follow at the home of Jeff and Jenny.
