Tribute

Jerry A. Cooper, 77, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away May 14, 2022.  He was born February 4, 1945 in Arlington, Virginia to Arthur Cooper and Gladys Kidwell.

Jerry owned a heavy equipment and demolition company in Laurel, Maryland before retiring to Florida.

He proudly served his country in the US Army. He was President of the Official White House Boys Organization. Jerry was extremely adventurous. His hobbies included water metal detecting, flying his plane, riding his Harley, hunting and fishing.  His greatest passion was in supporting children in need throughout Florida.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Barbara Cooper and his brother Michael Bridges.  He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Babbs Cooper; his children Michelle Ardizzione (Mark), Jourdan Cooper (Beth) and Christina Munro (John); siblings; Debi Johnson and husband LC, Steve Bridges and wife Bonnie, and Pam Finkbeiner and husband Norm; his grandchildren Jennifer Carter, Christopher Ardizzione, Starr Munro (Benjamin) and Jacob Munro; his great grandson Emerson Munro; and his beloved dog Jojo.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

There will be a gathering on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 10:30 AM until 3:30 PM at Terrace Hall, 1313 SE 47th Terrace, Cape Coral, Florida.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Jerry’s name to The Children’s Trust, 3150 SW 3rd Avenue, 8th Floor, Miami, FL 33129 www.thechidrenstrust.org
