John Robert Hamilton

John Robert Hamilton Age 71 died peacefully in his home in Ft. Myers, FL on Friday, May 6, 2022. John is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Deborah Hamilton; sons Chris (Jessica) Ring, Tyler (Kylie) Hamilton; grandchildren Taylor Crisler, Addison Hamilton, Olivia Hamilton, Tabor Hamilton; his sister Joy Jasper; cousins Jay Hamilton and Janet Hamilton.

Born in Wheaton, IL to Richard W Hamilton and Thelma “TJ” Hamilton, John graduated from Purdue University and began his world travels. His passion and expertise as an agronomist in the international golf course community allowed him to work in several different countries throughout the globe. First with Jack Nicklaus Sports Center in Mason, OH, Jack Nicklaus’ Golden Bear International, and then as owner of Golf Resources International.

John was so many things to so many people, and so very loved. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and well respected in the golf course development industry. John loved to focus on the good times in life, and would love it if you shared any stories and photos.

A small private memorial service will be held at a later date.
