John A. Pernetti

John Anthony Pernetti, 74, of Cape Coral, Fl passed away February 22, 2021.
He was born in 1946 in Patterson, NJ. and was the son of Dr. Anthony and Louise Pernetti. He resided in Glenn Rock, NJ until 1960, when he moved to Old Saybrook, CT. where John attended Old Saybrook High School, Suffield Academy and the Robinson School in West Hartford, CT, where he graduated in 1965. He also graduated from American International College in Springfield, Mass. with a B.S. in Business Admin. in 1969.
Mr. Pernetti was in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1969 to 1975. He had a 32 year career with the State of Connecticut Dept. of Transportation as a supervisor until his retirement in 2000. He and his wife Dorothy Curtis lived in Niantic, CT when he moved to Cape Coral, Fl in 2001.
He is survived by his sister Anita Alred of Stockbridge, GA and was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2002.
John will be buried beside his wife at the Resurrection Cemetery in Westbrook, CT. A service will take place in the summer in Connecticut. Arrangements by Fuller Metz Funeral Home in Cape Coral, Fl.
