John Winzler Roth Jr.

John Winzler Roth, Jr., passed away on August 24, 2018 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida. John was a retired Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy, having bravely served his country in WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War from 1942 - 1964. He continued his career in service with the Virginia State Health Department, where he retired as a state health inspector. Of all his accomplishments, his family remembers him most for being a devoted husband and father, and man of faith. He moved to Cape Coral in 1985 and was an active member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in North Fort Myers, Florida.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Roth, who was the love of his life.
He will be dearly missed by their nine children, Michael G Roth, Rhonda R. Counts, Marla M. Ford, John W. Roth, Eric B. Roth, Mark C. Roth, Carolyn M. Saylor, Matthew D. Roth, and David E. Roth; as well as many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 1:00PM at Bethany Lutheran Church, 264 Evergreen Road in North Fort Myers. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to either Bethany Lutheran Church or Hope hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle Fort Myers, FL 33908.
