Josefina De Jesus Cadsawan, 95, of Cape Coral joined heaven’s choir on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. She was born on September 24, 1921 in Tanza Cavite, Philippines to Nemesio De Jesus and Isidra Armado De Jesus.  She married Paulino Cadsawan on January 1, 1945 in Pasay City, Philippines. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1990.  She attended University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music with a degree in music, major in voice. Josefina was known for her vocal talents as a soprano, often invited to sing at weddings, community events and religious engagements.
 After migrating to the United States, she became a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and sang in the choir for 22 years. Josefina is also fondly remembered as the go-to directory of the Filipino-American Association members.  She is survived by her children: Paulino (Edna) Cadsawan, Jr. , Maria Bella (Jose) Andres, Maria Victoria Cadsawan, Maria Lourdes (Jose Victor) Lasap; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her eldest son, Emmanuel Cadsawan, Sr.
 The visitation will be held at the Fuller Metz Funeral Chapel in Cape Coral, FL on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 6:00pm. A memorial service will follow on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Andrew Catholic Church.
