Karen M. Hughes

Karen Margret Hughes, age 74, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. Karen was born in Bronx, New York to George and Mary Pfaff.  She lived and went to school in the Bronx; the family spent their summers on Long Island in the family bungalow.  
Karen married Charles Hughes in March 1967.  They moved to Long Island to raise their family.  Karen and her family moved to Cape Coral in 1986.  Karen is retired from the United Parcel Service.  Karen had many friends with whom she adored spending her time.  She loved playing cards and games with family and friends.  Karen was always so thoughtful and remembered all family and friends’ life events with silly cards, pictures, hats, gifts, and her favorite “as seen on TV”.  Her amusing and lovable personality earned her many nicknames: Cookie; Sparky; Ka; UM; Momma B; NanaKaka; Strong Like Bull; Feisty; Spicey; and of course, we knew her closest to our hearts as Mom, Nana and Sis.  

Karen is survived by her Son, Kenneth Hughes; Daughter, Paula Koskinas; Son-in-law, Todd Koskinas; Grandchildren, Heather & Cody Koskinas; Brother, George Pfaff; Sister-in-law, Joan Pfaff; and her Nieces Lisa Tooke (Anthony) and Rose Joseph (Josh) and Great Niece Natalie Tooke.
