Lawrence "Larry" Anthony Melia passed away suddenly on December 26, 2018 in North Fort myers, Florida at only 43 years of age. He was born on June 19, 1975 in Belleville, New Jersey to his parents, Larry(deceased) and Doreen Melia. Larry grew up in Bloomfield, New Jersey and graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1993. He was loved by many friends and family. Larry was a dedicated father, a loving son, and a caring brother. He was also an avid fisherman and loved the ocean. He developed a successful career in sales at the Sutherlin Nissan for the past five years. During his time off, he enjoyed watching football and was a life long New York Giants fan. Larry had a great sense of humor and loved to make everyone laugh. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him including his children; Lawrence Anthony Melia, Jr., Rose Margaret Melia, and Lilyana Elise Melia as well as their mother (his former wife), Dina Marie Melia; his mother, Doreen Melia; his brother, Anthony Melia and sister in law, Cara Melia; his nephew/godson, Anthony Gerard Melia; his cousins Jason and Alyssa Neidhardt, Dominic and Trish Sedicino, Tara Ventola and her son, Stephen Ventola, Maria Borzacchini, and Robert Borzacchini; as well as his aunts and uncles, Phyllis and David Perthold, Donnie and Patricia Sedicino, and Robert and Angela Borzacchini. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Larry Melia in 2011, and also his beloved dog, Koda in 2012.
Due to the sudden and untimely passing of our dear Larry, the family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made for his children to Dina Melia.
