Lt. James T. McConnell, 95, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2020. James was born in Riverside, Rhode Island in 1925 to Samuel and Hazel McConnell. James joined The United States Navy in 1942. He served 30 years in the Submarine Service during World War II, The Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. James along with his wife and son moved to Cape Coral in 1972. He has been an active member of the Church of The Epiphany since 1972 as well. Lt. James belonged to USA International Submarine Association, VFW, Saint Mary's Submarine Museum, USA Submarine Veterans of WW II, MOAA, DAV, FRA, National World War II Memorial and the US Navy Memorial Washington D.C.
James is survived by his wife of 74 years, Ruth and his son James II (Brenda).
