Maria Manso Silva

Maria Manso Silva, 85, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Newark, NJ, and Murtosa, Portugal, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in Cape Coral, Florida.  She was the loving wife of Manuel J. Silva (predeceased).  When she first moved to the United States she worked as a seamstress but then spent many years as a homemaker raising her two children.  Maria is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Maria Blaine and Robert Blaine, and by her son and daughter-in-law, Manuel Silva and Paula Silva.  She was the proud grandmother of four grandchildren, Priscilla Silva, Maegan Silva, Justin Blaine, and Melissa Blaine.  She is also survived by her brothers, Joe Manso (Mimi) and John Manso (Michelle).  A funeral mass will take place at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 25th, 2022.  She will then go to New Jersey to join her husband at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.  The date for services in New Jersey will be forthcoming.
