Mariann B Dickerson

Mariann Betty Dickerson, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 29, 2018 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida. She was born on January 24, 1926 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents, Gustav and Bessie Gerstle. Mariann had been a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1969. She was a member of Abiding Love Lutheran Church, and maintained her support of the Wounded Warrior Program as well as St. Jude Children's Foundation. She will always be remembered for her sense of adventure and humor.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Dickerson.
She will be dearly missed by her longtime companion, John Wanto of Bobtown, PA; children, Diane Darab of Cape Coral, FL, Andrew Dickerson of Scottsdale, AZ, Mariann Tyrell of Pine Island, FL, and Warren Dickerson of Bobtown, PA; as well as 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am, followed by a ceremony at 11:00am on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Fuller Metz Funeral Chapel at 3740 Del Prado Blvd. South Cape Coral, FL 33904. Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of one's choice in honor of Mariann.
