Mark J. Ordini

December 8, 1963 ~ March 4, 2020 (age 56) 56 Years Old

Tribute

A fantastic “human bean” (as he would say) left the Earth on March 4, 2020, after an accident while fishing in Lee County, Florida, where he resided for the past six years. Mark Ordini loved fishing whether on a boat, in the ocean, in or on a lake, stream, or pier, from a bank, basically wherever he could hold a rod and have friends to talk story with. He enjoyed being outdoors gardening, walking, riding his motorcycle, sitting on the beach watching the sun rise or set and anytime in between. He loved animals--birds, cats, deer, squirrels, whales and more but especially dogs. He was very proud of his family. He spent much of his time cooking meals at home and for the Salvation Army. He loved laughing and making people laugh, regaling friends and family with stories, meeting new people, helping neighbors and strangers alike, especially the elderly. Mark was born in Glen Rock, New Jersey and grew up in Dumont. Later, he lived in Trenton, Boston, Honolulu, Greenville (South Carolina) and Colfax (California) before settling in Florida. Mark is survived by his girlfriend, Karen Ortwein of Cape Coral; his mother, Mary Richardson of Escondido, California; his sisters, Lyn Avedikian of Surprise, Arizona and Rebecca Littlejohn of Valley Center, California; his brother, Lou Ordini III of Port Charlotte, Florida; his nieces and nephews: Melissa Clark; Gregory Avedikian and Jenna Mehlhorn; Megan, Graham and April Littlejohn; and Lacey Ordini.  Mark was predeceased by his father, Louis Ordini, Jr. Mark was loved so much by so many and will be missed greatly. He was the type of person who enriched the lives of others with his generous nature, kind heart and warm smile. The twinkle in his beautiful eyes will remain in our hearts forever.  A private memorial service is planned.
