Mary “Mickey” P. Solari

Mary “Mickey” P. Solari, 72, of Cape Coral, FL, loving wife and mother of two daughters, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2020 with her soul mate and husband of 35 years, Joe, by her side. She was born September 18, 1948 to Charles and Mary “Pearl” (Poirier) Levanchy. The last fifteen years of her life were negatively impacted by gastric bypass surgery.

Mickey grew up in Summit, NJ. She moved to Scituate MA when she was 20. She was a sales rep for Richmark, a curtain manufacturer, in Boston for 20 years. For the past 25 years she and Joe co-owned Blue Water Marine, an air conditioning and refrigeration company servicing the Cape Coral area.

Mickey loved sailing. She and Joe spent 10 amazing years sailing on their boat, “The My Playce II” where each winter they returned to a welcoming community and their many friends at Staniel Key, Bahamas. After giving up their boat, Mickey and Joe cruised extensively. Mickey had a childlike enthusiasm for life and spending time with her was filled with laughter and lots of fun. Her four cherished grandchildren gave her great joy and comfort.

Mickey leaves behind her devoted husband, Joseph and two loving daughters Catherine Mafcher her husband Greg and their son, Jonah of Edgartown, MA and Susan Stone her husband Chet and their children Ginger, Lily and Chet of Scituate, MA. She is also survived by her brothers John Levanchy and Chuck Levanchy and sisters Barbara Hajny, Marie Mazzeo, Cathy Moore, Carol Yaklich and Karen Walsh as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved parents Charles and Mary “Pearl” (Poirier) Levanchy.

Visitation will be Friday, January 8, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Fuller Metz Cremation and Funeral Services, 3740 Del Prado Boulevard South, Cape Coral, Florida 33904. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 PM. Both services will be live streamed.
