Matthew Paul Walker, age 37, of Cape Coral, passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2020 while on a business trip in Atlanta.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 30th at Fuller Metz. Public calling hours will begin at 5pm, followed by the service at 6:30.
Matt was born in Ravenna, Ohio to Rick and Cheryl Walker on August 20, 1982. He went to school and grew up in Stow, Ohio and graduated Cum Laude from Kent State University. After college, he moved to Florida where he met his wife, Jamie. They were married on December, 3 2011 in Cape Coral and later had two sons who just turned 5 & 8. He worked in sales for many years and most recently as an Account Manager for Palmer Holland.
Matt graced so many lives with the biggest smile, the best hugs, the most boisterous laughs, but most of all, his enormous heart. He was a lover of all sports, especially basketball. He enjoyed cooking, reading, fitness, traveling and most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jamie Walker, his sons, Kai and Cullen Walker, his sister and brother-in-law Anna Walker and Matt Reedy, his parents Cheryl and Rick Walker, his mother and father-in-law, Diane and Jim Holley and his grandparents Richard and Patricia Taylor. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to Matt’s favorite charity, The Children’s Network of Southwest Florida.
