Nancy A. Flynn passed away peacefully on Monday, May 31, 2022 after battling pancreatic cancer for several months. She was born to Francis "Frank" and Pauline Scheckenbach in Bridgeton, NJ on August 12, 1945. Growing up on the farm, she received a piano at a young age and by her teens played the piano and organ at the Bridgeton Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She attended Trenton State College, and in 2018, received her Baccalaureate of Science from Ave Maria and Barry University in History and Political Science. Nancy retired from the United States Government as a GM-15, serving her country patriotically for 32 years. Nancy was a Master Gardener and later an Associate Organist at St. Andrews since 2006. At St. Andrews, Nancy was on the finance committee, a benefactor of the St. Andrews School and a member of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. She was a long time resident of Springfield, VA, Elizabeth City, NC and Cape Coral, FL. She enjoyed music, traveling & the arts, gardening, cooking, driving sports cars, politics, her dogs and cats and many other simple pleasures. She is survived by her loving son Scott Flynn and his sweetheart Katy Alston. The family would like to send their sincerest thanks to the staff at Florida Cancer Specialists and Hope Hospice Team 320 for all their support. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday June 10, 2022 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Cape Coral, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions could be made to Wounded Warriors, Paws of Honor, Project K9 Hero, Orphaned Acres, ASPCA or the Humane Society.
