Robert F. Dehullu February 13, 1937 - January 16, 2021 Cape Coral, FL Formerly of Groveland, MA It is with great sorrow that the family of Robert F. Dehullu announce his passing on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Cape Coral Hospital, Cape Coral, FL surrounded by his loving children after a year long battle with cancer. Born in North Andover, MA, he was the son of the late Roger and Erna Dehullu. He was predeceased by his wife, Gayle Dehullu, with whom he was married to for 42 years. Robert graduated from Johnson High School in North Andover, MA and went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NH. He furthered his education by earning a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, MA. Robert served in the US Navy and earned the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He worked for the former Western Electric and then AT&T for 37 years as a Senior Electrical Engineer. He retired from AT&T and moved to Cape Coral, FL where he and Gayle built their retirement home. Robert leaves his wife, Opal (Franjic) Dehullu of Cape Coral, FL whom he was married to for 19 years. In addition to his wife he leaves his children, Robert Dehullu Jr. and his wife Janey Dehullu of Cape Coral, FL, William Dehullu of Cape Coral, FL, Stephen Dehullu and his wife Dena Dehullu of Groveland, MA and Cheryl Dehullu of Haverhill, MA; grandchildren, Stephen Dehullu II, Gordon Dehullu, Alex Dehullu, Raney Dehullu and Julia Dehullu; Opal’s son, James Dean and his companion Mel Morrow of Cape Coral, FL. Anyone who new Bob knows that he was a kind and generous man who was always there for his family, especially his children. He will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him. A private family memorial was held on January 20, 2021 at the Fuller Metz Cremation & Funeral Services in Cape Coral, FL.
