Tribute

Bob passed away on Saturday June 2nd, 2018 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida.

Bob was born in Canton, Ohio on June 19th, 1933 to Elizabeth (DePasquale) and John Ranalli. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1952, was a star athlete in football, and was a past booster throughout his life. He spent the majority of his working life as a memorialist , and was a past President of The Ohio Monument Builders Association. Community service was his passion. His efforts successfully raised funds for: United Way, Canton Ex-Newsboys, The Unique Club, and Knights of Columbus, and he was a past recipient of The Canton Jaycees Man of The Year Award.

As a devoted family man, in the winter, he and the family enjoyed snow skiing. He was a member and past President of The Canton Ski Club and also served as a member of The National Ski Patrol. In the summer, the family enjoyed boating on The Ohio River aboard "La Famiglia", which eventually led to a move to Southwest, Florida. The retirement to Fort Myers and Cape Coral spanned a period of 25 years.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Vivian Sue nee Allison, and two sons Bobby, and Patrick (Stephen Craig). He was preceded in death by his only daughter Colleen Sue Flenner, and son Jeffrey. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Lauren Speelman (Craig), and Brent Flenner and great grandchildren: Georgia, Grant, and Brody Speelman. He was the 6th of eight boys, and was preceeded in death by his parents, brothers, Pete, Al, John, Frank and their wives and (Viola) and survived by three additional brothers Tony, Richard (Jackie), and Gary (Millie). Uncle Bob is preceeded in death and survived by many nieces and nephews.

A mass is scheduled for Friday June 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM. The mass will take place at St. Andrew Catholic Church located at 2629 Del Prado Boulevard, Cape Coral, Florida, 33904. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Fuller Metz Cremation and Funeral Services. 239-542-3161
