Tribute

Roger Wright, 62, passed away August 15, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his wife and daughter.  He was born in Flint, MI on November 15, 1955 to Walter and Genevieve Wright.

Roger grew up in Grand Blanc, MI and graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1973. He eventually moved to Texas and became a Programming Officer over the loan and teller systems at First City National Bank in Austin, TX.  He relocated to Lincoln, NE in 1988 where he continued programming.  In 1997, he switched his career path to title work.  He was a Settlement Officer for Lawyer's Advantage Title Group in Maryland and eventually Ft. Myers, FL.  After retiring, Roger became a Licensed Realtor and Broker.

Roger was an experienced pilot, history guru, avid vegetable gardener, excellent cook, and weekend woodworker.  He loved to read and hated to miss his daily walk.  He often could be seen with a garbage bag and grabber collecting trash in the neighborhood while he waved to the neighbors.  Roger lived his life with love, thoughtfulness, and a great sense of humor.  His main goal was to always please everyone and make others happy.

Moments after Roger passed, a spectacular falling star raced over Cape Coral with a magical trail of light behind.  It would be difficult not to think that Roger was the pilot.  He was one of a kind and will be missed so much.

Roger is survived by his wife Lorraine, daughter Dr. Leann Wright (Dr. Jeremy Brozek), grandson Jackson Brozek, parents Walter and Genevieve (Mitchell) Wright, sisters Kay Sandler (Jon) and Kerry Wright, step-children John Sengler and Stephanie Gulley (Cameron), mother of his daughter Diana Wright, one niece, three nephews, cousins and many friends.

Private interment will be at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, TX.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to http://weblink.donorperfect.com/rogerwright
