Stacey Zagame Wood passed away early June 15, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Stacey was born in New Jersey, raised in Philadelphia, and remained in Cape Coral FL since moving there with her parents and sister the summer before her senior year. She Graduated from Mariner High School in 1989.
Stacey was a Customer Service Manager for Wells Fargo in Cape Coral. She enjoyed nearly eight years there with a small group of people that she commonly referred to as her “work family”. She took great pride in her job, was very knowledgeable, and had a talent for being right.
Stacey was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and aunt who loved her family with every ounce of her heart. Fiercely protective of those she held dear. She was loving, forgiving, generous, clever, opinionated & stubborn. Even right up until the end, she would make sure the hospital staff knew who was really in charge of her care.
Stacey’s circle of friends was more like an extension of her family; a small special group of people who she shared many adventures and crazy antics with. Her love, loyalty, and unwavering support were never in question.
Stacey was many things; a writer, a dreamer, a shopper, a crazy Philadelphia Eagles fan, and a lover of music. If you drove by on cleaning day you would hear Stacey belting out Maroon 5, Pink, and Megan Trainor among others.
Mostly, Stacey was an amazing wife and mother of seven (yes, I said seven). For nearly 20 years her and her husband raised their blended family together not always in complete harmony, but always with love, and always together.
Stacey was a lover; She loved Bella (her German Shepard), she loved the beach more especially a bar on the beach, she loved to play music really loud, she loved riding on the back of a Harley, she loved Bloody Mary’s on Sundays with friends, she loved BBQs around the pool, she even loved musicals. Stacey loved her life.
She is survived by her father & mother, Joe & Carol Zagame, sister Amy and brother Joe, Her Husband Jamie, and Children Heather, Austin, Kaitlynn, Haylee, James, Nathan, Taylor, and finally all the friends who have experienced her love and felt her Joy.
