Sergio Pissi was born in Rome , Italy on May 2, 1938. At the age of 17, he began playing jazz drums with well know bands and orchestras in Rome and the surrounding cities. One band in particular "The 2nd Roman New Orleans Jazz Band" won what is the equivalent to our Grammy for their excellent work.
Sergio's long career took him to many countries in Southern Europe as well as the Middle East, North Africa and South Africa.
After arriving in the United States in 1969, he had long term engagements in Las Vegas, Minnesota, Georgia and finally , all over Florida.
His many musical accomplishments include records, movies, and CDs as well as thousands of live performances and concerts.
During his long career, he had the opportunity to meet and perform with many well known musicians, actors and actresses.
Sergio leaves his loving wife Margaret, Daughter Giuliana, Son Gian Paul, his elder sister Tina, Stepchildren and Grandchildren.
He ended his long illness with Parkinson's Disease at the Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral while resting peacefully surrounded with love and gentle care.
He will be interred with other members of his family in Pennsylvania.
