Thomas Joseph Dineen, 62, passed away peacefully in his home on December 30, 2021. He was born on September 7, 1959, in Omaha, Nebraska to Ruth and Kevin Dineen. He then moved to Indianapolis where he spent his youth.
Tom graduated from Ball State University with a double degree in Finance and Marketing in 1982. He then furthered his education at the prestigious Wharton School of Business.
Tom and Mary Ann moved from Indiana to Fort Myers, FL in 1982. Tom started his financial advisor’s career shortly afterwards and has taken great pride over the last almost 40 years helping his clients achieve their financial goals. He began his career with Richardson Greenshields Investments in 1983 and finished his career as a Financial Advisor for UBS Financial Services in 2021.
Tom married the love of his life, Mary Ann in 1993 exactly 13 years after their first date. Tom and Mary Ann had three beautiful daughters, Kaitlin, Kari and Kathryn. Tom took great pride in his daughters and ultimately in their choices of their significant others. Kathryn married Michael Lobbestael on May 29, 2021. It gave him such pride to walk his baby girl down the aisle. He also created beautiful memories with Kaitlin’s boyfriend (Colton Catto) and Kari’s boyfriend (Chris Caan).
Tom leaves behind his stepdaughter, Meisa Rose, his grandchildren, Johnathan Rants, Joshua Rants, Takoda Ott, Mariah Ott and Maliah Ott (Kevin Ott father of the Ott children). Tom so enjoyed playing golf on Tuesdays and Saturdays with his “golf family”, Bill Schirmer (Patty), Fred (Christine), Bryan (Kim). He was a regular at San Carlos Golf Club and will be missed by many of the members. Tom’s other passions included gardening, reading and cooking. Of course, his favorite passion was his family for which he was so proud of.
