Timothy Melvin Oosting

Fort Myers – Tim Oosting left us to begin another adventure on Oct 24th, 2020. He was lovingly surrounded by his wife, two boys and best friends.  
Tim was born to Melvin and Julia Oosting on April 13, 1947.  Tim graduated from  Fairmont High School, Kettering, Ohio and the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture (1973).
He was the Director of Regional Planning and Staff Architect for Lee Memorial Health System where he was responsible for several major projects including HealthPark Florida in South Lee County. Tim later moved back to Cincinnati as Regional Planning Director and Staff Architect for Mercy Health Systems where he continued to lead design and construction of several major hospitals and numerous medical facilities.  
He was an inspiration for all those who knew him, a husband, father, friend, a leader and brother. He was intelligent, joyful, creative, kind, hard working with a keen sense of humor and integrity. He loved being active, music, travel, hiking, boating, tennis and a drink with friends.
He was married 52 years and survived by his love, Gayle, his son Eric and wife Toni and granddaughter, Riley of Virginia, his son Dr. Scott Oosting and his wife Laura and grandchildren, Liam and Olivia of Carmel, Indiana.

There will be a Celebration of Life at their cottage in North Carolina.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Calusa Waterkeeper, calusawaterkeeper.networkforgood.com or PO Box 1165, Ft Myers, FL 33902
