Wayne Bayous, 75 years old passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 at home with his loving family by his side. He fought a courageous battle with Leukemia. He was born in Trenton, NJ on February 20, 1945.
Wayne graduated from Hamilton High School West, Hamilton, NJ, class of 1963. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1967 - 1972. He was a talented auto body and fender repairman in Princeton, NJ for 35 years. He worked in West Windsor School District, in West Windsor, NJ, for 10 years until retirement to Cape Coral, FL in 2008.
Wayne was an avid car enthusiast, whether it be the NASCAR circuit, dirt track racing or his prize winning Corvettes. He was a diehard Dale Earnhardt fan. He loved boating and fishing and the deals he found at yard sales to continue to build or tinker. He loved being with his family the most and treasured the many vacations and times shared together. He was a member of the Corvettes on the Gulf car club and the Hot Chili Rods. He was an active car show participant winning many awards with his 1959 and 1966 Corvettes.
He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Margaret Bayous. Wayne will be truly missed and is survived by his wife of 52 years Irene (White); three daughters, Jennifer Hoagland (Todd), Cape Coral FL, Jill Bayous , Cape Coral FL, and Susan Dunn (Rob), Hamilton Square, NJ; and four grandchildren, Allyson, Kayla and Jeffrey Hoagland of Cape Coral, FL, and Robert E. Dunn III (Red)of Hamilton Square, NJ.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. A Catholic Blessing will be at 11:00 am preceded by military honors. All services will be held at Fuller-Metz Cremation and Funeral Services, 3740 Del Prado Blvd South, Cape Coral, FL.
